This Silver Plated Decoration is inspired by The Kelpies, an astonishing sculpture in The Helix, Falkirk.
The term Kelpie was given to the supposed 'shape-shifting' creatures that inhabited the lochs of Scotland. Often thought to appear in the shape of a horse, but adopting the form of a human as well.
The Kelpies are now a monument dedicated to horse powered heritage across Scotland. Representing the historical use of heavy horses in the Scottish industry, which helped shape the geographical layout of the Falkirk area.
Crafted in the finest silver plate, the decoration has an attractive blue ribbon to hang it on the tree, and comes complete on a display card giving a short history of the design.
